To our Dental Family,
Thank you for your patience and continued understanding during these trying times in the world and our community. It’s is our unfortunate circumstance that we are unable to resume normal business hours and to our full capacity. Our number one priority is and has always been to serve our patients while ensuring the health and safety of our staff. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations. In addition to these federal agencies, our local Greene County Health Department has also issued instructions in a phase-type format. In trying to uphold these guidelines and also dealing with a low & back ordered supply of personal protective equipment, we have started implementing new protocols that will be fully in place starting May 18th. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience we know this brings to our patients.
You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
• Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you arrive for your appointment.
•We ask patients to please remain in your vehicle and contact our office when you have arrived.
•You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer coffee, magazines, and children’s toys since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
• Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
• We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times.
•We kindly ask to limit the number of people in the office to only those patients being seen. Unless a patient requires assistance, parent/guardian or translator.
We hope the phases and guidelines for which we are adapting to will soon return to a resemblance of normal. Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.
